Have you ever sat back and heard a word or a phrase that truly got you to thinking or made you feel so over joyed. I don't know about you but I have plenty of days like that. On my way to work this morning (8/11/09). There was a phrase that really stuck with me: "Don't Give Up"

"Don't Give Up"
When we give up on doing what is right and what is best for us we may not realize it but in a sense we are telling God "I don't trust you" and "I am tired of waiting on you". That's why I say that words and phrases can really get us to thinking. Because it really got me to thinking that how is that, we can tell the man who created us, who has brought us through so many storms and hardship that we have given up on him. Do we not realize when we give up on the one who can make water stand still, able to heal with just a touch of his garment, make a way out of no way that we have lost the most important thing there is to have. Therefore, I say to you today Don't Give Up as you read the scriptures below you will see and know that my God is able and should never be given up on.
Psalm 116:5-9
5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
6 The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.
7 Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.
8 For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,
9 that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
Luke 6:19
19and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.
Matthew 8:23-27
23Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.
24Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.
25The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"
26He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"(One of my favorite scriptures this alone expresses how powerful my God is)
